The Juneau Alpine Club is located in Juneau, Alaska ("Where the mountains meet the sea"). It is intended to provide opportunities, information, and a venue for hiking (trails, alpine country, glaciers, icefield, mountains) and other outdoor experiences (including kayaking, cross country and back country skiing). A variety of organized hikes from moderate to more difficult are regularly offered, along with periodic pot lucks, slide shows and training. See the Calendar page for planned trips and events. The members also freely trade information and take off on extemporaneous trips.
